We hate traffic on the roads, but when it comes to running a blog to make money and the antecedent package for the CPC and CPM, traffic becomes the virgin princes that we all must seduce and bring to our

The blogosphere has not been receptive to the new bloggers trying to blog and make money. It opened my eyes to the reason why I have been watching from the gallery for over nine months of my blog life as a few keep receiving constant traffic and get elevated within the top tier echelon of the blogosphere.

It was a call to the restructuring of this blog. The good thing is that it did not require me to immobilize the current blogs content altogether. The issue has nothing to do with the content on my site but with what I am doing with the content on my blog. I could say that the issue extends to the marketing of the blog. Content by itself is not the Holy Grail traffic magnet, people must be made aware of the sites existence.

Below is what I discovered about my site from statscrop.com:

·         SEO is 69.4%

·         Web safety: tick

·         The site is not listed in DMOZ

·         The site is not listed in YAHOO DIRECTORY

·         The length of the description tag is empty

·         The keyword tag of this site is empty

·         The site has 5 images, 5 images has not title

·         This site is 217 kbs. The site weight should ideally be less than 125 kbs in length. We recommend that you use minify web to minify your site.

I may not know what some of the points raised in the above report entail but it was a short in the arm as far as my blog is concerned. It was a report card check of my blog that I must act upon to increase traffic. Already I am in the process of getting the site listed with YAHOO DIRECTORY and DMOZ. I plan to look for more keywords that can increase the SEO from its current percentage.

I tried to minify my site in order to reduce its size but failed in the process. I will be seeking guidance from those in the know.  I do not know what the report meant by “the description tag is empty” and the “keyword tag is empty”. Incase you do kindly guide me by leaving a comment below.

In today’s article I’ll attempt to contrast the two blogging sites associated with making money online through the publishing of content; Wordpress and Blogger. Above all I’ll try to build my case as to why I prefer blogging for money using the Blogger site as opposed to Wordpress. But first the tough question; is Blogger in danger

of being swept away by Wordpress?

Word press adherents love underlooking anybody or anything from the Blogger section. They think that anyone using Blogger in the hope of making money online is so yesterday and so must fail in their ambition to make money blogging. They say that newbies who start blogging with blogger are stuck to the materials of 90’s in the 21^st century.

Indeed, a lot of newbies who become aware of Wordpress on their earlier days of trying to make money online as bloggers quickly discard Blogger for Wordpress in the hope  that it marks the beginning of their success as bloggers for money. The Wordpress themes are eye catching and because every newbie reads that to make money online as a blogger you must look professional, they choose to err on the side of caution. They chose Wordpress not knowing its antecedent challenges.

Blogger is fast losing its appeal among those who would love to publish content for money online. It has been said that Wordpress is SEO friendly compared to Blogger and that if you want real success in blogging for money you must pack and leave- Blogger. But I stick to Blogger because I know what I’m specifically after. And as a Blogger devotee everything is falling into place for me. It is indisputable that the look of your blog is inextricably at the core of your success in making money online. But for me to leave Blogger at this moment would be a mistake. I have approached that late hour when the labor pains are almost commencing and pressing the exit button would be tantamount to aborting an eight month old fetus.

Enough of my yapping let me state the two reasons why Blogger remains my preferred blogging station.

1.      I am not tech savvy

To make money online using wordpress requires a degree of technological knowhow. If you are not good at HTML set up you must get the services of a professional SEO code cracker. Blogger too requires some basics in HTML especially when manipulating the templates but not to the extent of wordpress. That is the main reason why Wordpress turns me off. Looking at their themes I realized that to apply even the less complicated After Morning theme would require the input of a technology guru.

For a newbie who is still new in the game, paying hundreds of dollars to have all the tabs and links in order turns the much hyped means of making money online as a blogger into a nightmare. It is on the aspect of technology that I keep forwarding the argument that Blogger remains the single most justifier of the fact that Google still has the goodwill that the newbie should succeed.

2.      There is much money to be made using Blogger

Blogging for money is the reason we keep publishing articles and professionalizing our blogs. No one wants to be on a site that does not offer returns. It creates the sad feeling of mockery of a deserving effort.  Blogger is hosted by Google and that means that blogging for money using Blogger increases the possibility that you could be accepted into the adsense program.

You cannot run the Google Adsense or Chitika ads using Wordpress and that is the point where I say “Blogger till I die.” To make money using Wordpress you must shift from the free hosted site Wordpress.com to Wordpress.org where you must pay for the hosting services.

Google Adsense is the largest online advertising forum and any platform that does not give you the chance to blog for money using adsense is doing you a disservice. Chitika is another good ad site that any person blogging for money must use. Others include infolink.com, adbrite.com and affinity click. Wordpress uses the Adwords program to run Ads on your site.

So you now know. If you are not the tech savvy type you have no business with Wordpress especially if you are broke and just trying to make money online as a blogger. Also, if your number one reason for blogging is to make money online, you’d rather stick with blogger because it’s the only way you are going to get a Chitika, infolink, kontera  or Adsense account approved.

It is no longer a nocturnal adventure in which articles are produced once a while late in the night depending on the blogger’s desirability. To have success and run a blog to make money, you must produce articles at lightning speed, they say. You must observe the rules laid down by those who started blogging before you, the pros insist.

Because of that, many beginners attempting to blog to make money have ended up losing their style and originality and are instead trying to re-write whatever they see on a pro-blogger’s site. Most amateur blogs are a failing sample of the pro-bloggers’ blogs. The need to have a blog to make money which is simply a reconstruction of another person’s blog has seen the collapse of many bloggers because of the lack of a foundation. To have a strong foundation, newbies like me must learn to exercise the independence of mind.

Call it a stupid starter’s nonchalance towards the pro-bloggers if you like. But to make money blogging, I must discard what has been fed to the majorities of my kind who have nonetheless starved.

In blogging to make money, I refuse to have the pro blogger as the guarantor to my success. I did not obtain a loan to begin a how to make money blog so I won’t be suffering from collateral. That implies that I can easily exercise the option to be free and to think my own way and write my own style.  I am not seeking for approval and I’m therefore less concerned about the pros view of my style.

Yes, I parade myself as a struggling blogger, especially in the spectrum of traffic, but at least I am free. The confines of my capability are not limited to what I read on another person’s site. At least my site is clocking forty and might as well see its golden jubilee. All that will be at my own pace. I did not have to write fifty articles in my first month as a blogger to have pageviews or ads on my site. I am glad I am not possessed with the pro-bloggers pace.

Here is the reason why you should discard what the pro-blogger tells you in his posts. Unlike the pro who because of his long stint blogging can afford to write on anything because he works on what he is given, you are always working with what you have. That limits your choice and the ability to have 50 to 100 quality articles in a single month is therefore out of the picture. The pro has been around for more than five years and trying to play catch up will not help in your cause.

It is all clear that frustration abounds among a large section of beginner’s blogging to make money because of the false belief that the path of the pro is the only viable avenue through which to have success in blogging to make money. Blogging should be about my personal ideas and views, and apart from visiting a few technologically based sites that tutor on how to tweak your html template; the rest should just come after you’ve grounded yourself and become your own man. Subscribing to how to blog successfullynewsletters should be the last in your to do list.

Trying to emulate the pro is a clear sign of an inferiority complex and the feeling that you do not measure up. How then will you be able to compete? You are a fake if all you are now is just a shadow of another. And you are lying on some deadly fangs if you think that the pro has your interest at heart.

If my aim was to have an article that generates a thousand pageviews a day, then so far no post on this site has been worth my while. Yet I won’t make the mistake of running to the pro’s guide for help. I will read their articles, but only as a past time. Right now I’m contented with being myself and struggling till it works. The pro-blogger is simply a narcissist who does not give a damn what happens to the amateur blogger.

To quote from the religious; man was not made for rules, rules were made for man. And no law is cast on a stone tablet. So feel free to go against the established tradition by upholding your style. That is the only way to survive and blog to make money. If you decide to be a text book student in love with the pro’s newsletter on successful blogging, you will pay the price of applying old tricks in a new age.

I may have painted  the picture of my unwavering belief in blogger and the blogspot, a domain name owned and hosted by Google, but the loyalty creed is with each passing day taking a toll on me. to make money in this day and age uses a custom domain and my insistence on a free domain is not helping. How did I forget for this long that you must always use money to make money?

My blog is about 9 months old and I receive on average twenty pageviews per day. There has actually been a fall of traffic to my site because according to statscrop.comand pageinsider, by the month of July, this site was worth about 3.8 pounds. That was based on an average of 38 pageviews per day.

Whatever happened along the way is hard to explain. Probably the long break I took between July and September could have played a role in the decline I have since experienced in the number of pageviews. That long break is one of the worst mistakes I have made in my attempt at blogging to make money. Blogging to make money needs a calculated approach. My hope is to remedy that break with more articles on a regular basis.

But pro bloggers should not go hard on newbies trying to blog for money because at first, many beginners adopt a knee jerk reaction when all they first see online is that open a blogger or wordPress account and make money blogging.  That is a big fallacy and the sad thing is that in numerous sites it is propounded by the pro bloggers earning through poisonous reviews of what works and what doesn’t. It is after ten or twenty articles that beginners start asking questions. This begins especially when Google Adsense rejects your application.

Most of us live in the world of here and now and are always demanding what we believe at this moment to be right. Thinking that Google or any other ad provider cannot bend to our will when we’ve already made a dozen articles is one of the worst experiences in running a blog to make money. It brings down the imaginary castle on the hill soon to be erected by the money made through blogging. It ruins a dream.

I am just glad that even with no returns to be shown yet from my blog to make money; I have not looked aside and given up. A lot of blogs are gathering cobwebs like an abandoned amour in a World War 2 site. In fact, for most blogs that meet their end before takeoff, their administrators had only one intention in mind, blog to make money. Problem is that they were not so much willing to be paragons of patience and wait for the eggs to hatch.

I have said elsewhere that most bloggers cropping up today have a lot of learning and unlearning to do because they are a decade late.
